David Nadeau and Gary Powers won the 2018 Hidden Meadows Member-Guest in a sudden death playoff over Ronnie Morin and Tim Black. Both teams finished regulation play at even-par 71, and the Nadeau-Powers team won with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Morin and Black were the defending 2017 winners.

Good luck to Hidden Meadows Club Champion Chris Kauppila today in the High School New England Competition, being held at Bretwood Golf Course, Keene, NH.
Kauppila, a recently graduated senior, qualified for the tournament last fall by finishing in the top 4 at the state high school championship. He was also selected as the Class B Conference Player of the Year in the Penobscot Valley Conference in 2017.

Congratulations to Robbie Robertson on his first ever hole-in-one during the Tuesday Senior League yesterday.
Robbie used an 8-iron from the newly opened gold tees, playing at 132. He was playing with Ed Lucas, Gilbert Tibbetts and Fran Riva.

Hidden Meadows Golf Course has several leagues spread throughout the week. All are lots of fun. You do not have to commit to playing every week. Make it when you can. Here is the line-up:
Monday Night Scramble. Begins the first or second week of May, depending on Mother Nature, and runs through the middle of September. We draw for teams at 5:20 p.m. and play starts at 5:30. Scramble format, number of players per team is based on how many people show up to play. Entry fee is $5 for the scramble. $10 green fees for non-members and we run a $5 cart special.
Tuesday Morning Seniors. Generally begins the middle of May and runs through the middle of September. This is open to all seniors age 55-older. You do not have to be a member at Hidden Meadows to participate. $5 weekly fee for members, $5 weekly fee plus green fees for non-members. $5 per seat cart special.
Thursday Morning Ladies. Generally begins the middle of May and runs through the middle of September. The league starts at 9 a.m. The cost is green fees plus $5. We also have a $5 per seat cart special. Different games each week. The league is casual and fun. This is open to female golfers. You do not have to be a member at Hidden Meadows to participate.
Saturday Afternoon Family. The league starts at 4 p.m. This is a casual league for parents and kids. You can play as a 2-some and pair up with another 2-some, or bring the whole family and play in your own group. The format changes every week. Some weeks will be a scramble, other weeks alternate shot. For the younger kids we have our Orange Level 1 Tees that play 1500 yards, along with our Silver Level 2 Tees, which play a little more than 2,000 yards. There is no cost for members, $10 green fees for non-members. Kids 9-under are free. We run a $5 per person cart special.
Sunday Afternoon Couples. The league starts at 4 p.m. This is a casual league for all couples. There are no marriage or gender requirements. The format changes every week. Some weeks will be a scramble, other weeks alternate shot. There is no cost for members, $10 green fees for non-members. We run a $5 per person cart special.
Junior golf classes will begin on Monday, July 2nd at Hidden Meadows Golf Course. Classes are from 9 – 10:30 every Monday morning, and will consist of instruction on the full swing, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker shots, rules and etiquette.
The first half of each lesson will take place in our practice area, then the last half of each lesson we’ll head out on the course to practice what was taught that day.
These classes are for boys and girls ages 7-17, and are designed for beginners and intermediate players. We have equipment available if you need clubs. The cost for the seven week session is $75. Instruction is provided by Class-A PGA Professional Joe Perdue.

The annual Hidden Meadows Member-Guest tournament is Sunday, June 24th. The format is a select-drive, 2-ball best-ball. The tournament begins at 8 a.m., and is $50 per team.
In a select-drive, 2-ball best-ball, each person hits a tee shot. Choose which tee shot to use, then each person plays their own ball for the rest of the hole from that spot. Use the low score on each hole for your team score. At least six tee shots for each person must be used during the round.

The Hidden Meadows 5th Annual 2-Person Senior Scramble is set for Monday, July 9th. The tournament is a 9 a.m. shotgun start and the entry fee is $50 per team.
The format is a 2-person scramble and is split in to three divisions: Ages 50-59, Ages 60-69, Ages 70-older. Divisions are determined by the youngest player on the team.
On-course events include closest-to-the-pin and long drive. The entry fee includes the tournament entry, green fees, lunch, prizes, flag events and a special event. Carts are $12 per person.
