Course Is Open For Walking

Here’s the update for Tuesday, October 31st:

Cleanup is underway on the golf course. We are open for walking. It will be at least noon before we can get carts on the course, but that is not a guarantee. It may be tomorrow before we can get the carts out. As soon as we have more information we will post it here.

Our phone service is limited. We’ve tethered it to a mobile phone, but not sure if that is actually going to work (Rob rigged that up, so it’s got a lot better chance than if I had tried to do it). So if you do not get an answer, we are not ignoring you.

Looks like we’ve got some okay weather through Tuesday of next week. We’re probably going to have some frost towards the end of this week, so opening times may be delayed a little bit.

That’s all we know for now. We’ll stay open until Mother Nature dictates otherwise. Hope everyone is safe and didn’t get too much damage from the storm.

It’s a gorgeous sunrise this morning.

The Storm Could Have Been Worse

Rob and I just took a quick ride around the course. It will be at least noon tomorrow before we’re open for play. Not sure we’ll be able to get the carts out tomorrow. We’ll update you on that when we can. Here are a few pictures of the damage. It could have been a lot worse.

Course & Clubhouse Closed Today Because of Storm; It’s a Good ‘Ernest Jones’ Day Today!

The golf course and clubhouse will be closed today (Monday) because of the storm. We will post an update at 7 a.m.(ish) tomorrow morning with another update.

Today would be a great day to do a little reading if you are interested in some ‘truths’ about the golf swing. “Swinging Into Golf” by Ernest Jones is one of the best books ever written. I guarantee it will be worth your time. Enjoy!

The Course Is Open For Carts

The frost has lifted and the course is open. Carts are on the course and the weather is supposed to be pleasant today. 18-holes with a cart is $28. Our twilight rates kick in at 2 p.m. this afternoon. Pay for 9-holes and play until dark.

With 4+ inches of rain on Wednesday and Thursday, our pond filled back up to the top.

No Carts Friday, October 27th; Carts Okay For The Weekend

We ended up with just a splash over 4 inches of rain the past two days. While the course overall is still very firm, we have some standing water in the low spots, so we are going to hold off on letting carts out today. We expect to have carts back on the golf course tomorrow morning.

Thank you for your patience. We’ve still got some great golf weather before the season ends!

When the sun hits the top of the trees here, it’s an awesome sight. This picture does not do it justice.
