1. Couples League This Afternoon at 4 p.m.

   Just a reminder to everyone that the Sunday Afternoon Couples League begins at 4 p.m. today. The cost is $5 per person for members, $15 per person for non-members. We will run a cart special for $5 per person.

   Todays format is the Chapman System. Both players hit drives;
   each plays the other’s ball for the second shots; the best of the second shots is selected, and from there the two partners play alternate shot into the hole.

   There will be food available after the round. Looking forward to seeing everyone here this afternoon!

2. Fournier/Dennis Team Wins Elks Lodge Scramble

   The Old Town Elks Lodge held their tournament at Hidden Meadows Golf Course on Saturday. 20 teams competed for prizes, and helped to raise money for the Special Olympics.

   The team of Adam Fournier, Peter Fournier, Darren Dennis and Lisa Dennis took first place honors with a 9-under-par 62. David Thibodeau, David Soucier, Rick Gilman and Tom Harris came in second place with 64. Corey Day, Bob Arsenault, Casey Estes and Gary Powers came in third with 65(3). Jim Evans, Richard Brown, Peter Dubay and Pat Dubay took fourth place with 65(4). David Nadeau, Ron Morin, Ray Hussey and Stacey Hussey round out the top five with 65(5).

   Many thanks to Jim Evans, Richard Brown and Ryan Lucas for spearheading the event, as well as lots of volunteers that helped with the pig roast, burgers, hot dogs and chipping contest. Also, a big thank you to all of the players and sponsors for making this event a huge success.
