  7. New Putting Green, Practice Bunker Now Open

David Saucier works on his sand shots Thursday afternoon out of the new practice bunker at Hidden Meadows.

David Saucier works on his sand shots Thursday afternoon out of the new practice bunker at Hidden Meadows.

The new practice bunker and the new section of the practice putting green are now open! We had outgrown our existing practice green, and we needed a place for people to practice their bunker shots. We started this project towards the end of last season. The putting green is now more than double it’s original size, and features an undulated terrain so that all types of putts can be simulated.

We took a lot of pictures of the entire process, and as you can see, it’s a lot more involved than just cutting the existing grass down to putting green height. Hope you enjoy all of the pictures, and hope you enjoy our ever-expanding facility here in Old Town. And a big thanks to Hidden Meadows greens superintendent Chad Armell and his crew for all of the extra attention and care they gave to this project. They did a great job!NewPuttingGreen.3NewPuttingGreen.1PuttGreenBuild.2PuttGreenBuild.3NewPuttingGreen.2PuttingGreenExpansion.4PuttGreenBuild.1NewPuttingGreen6.24.16NewPuttingGreen1.7.2.16NewPuttingGreen5.7.2.16
